The Mythology of Earl and Art Fare

ArtFare is a highly anticipated annual arts and culinary event that pairs artists and chefs in an inspired spirit of collaboration to benefit and support the restoration of Kansas City Art Institute’s Vanderslice Hall. Twelve artists and chefs will collaborate to awaken, startle, and thrill all of your senses at ArtFare, a spectacular event hosted by the Vanderslice Committee.”

It was an honor to participate and partner with Chef Todd Schulte of Earl’s Premier for the Art Fare exhibition. The sold out event was held at the beautiful 1900 Building event space.

My work displayed alongside Earl’s Premier freshly shucked raw oysters and a variety of sauces.

With the prompt, “crusty old curmudgeon”, The mythology of Earl is explored in three portraits. Distinct artistic styles and mediums are used to explore the mercurial nature of Earl’s personality.
